CRNA EVENT OVERVIEW
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA's) across the United States have a chance to be part of the most comprehensive CRNA resource for their career development. The review course is the most comprehensive course for CRNA's in the United States and has been offered annually for 30 years in San Antonio.
The course is designed specifically for CRNA's to enhance knowledge in anesthesia and help CRNA's transmit acquired knowledge from participation in the review and hands-on workshop into their clinical practice. CRNA's must complete at least 40 hours of continuing education every two years to maintain their certification. CRNA's will earn up to 40 continuing education credits upon completion of the entire program plus earn five valuable pharmacology credits. The 2008 event is also offering a new hands-on session for ultrasound assisted regional anesthesia.
The President of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, Jackie S. Rowles, CRNA, MBA, FAAPM, will speak at the annual review about the pharmacology of epidural steroids, discuss professional issues and the CRNA followed by an open forum to provide an opportunity for participating CRNA professionals to ask questions and discuss issues facing the industry directly with the Association President. The course director for this annual event is Sandra M. Ouellette, CRNA, M.Ed., FAAN.
